Mira Yogashala deserves 10 stars out of 5 ! It was an amazing and life changing experience. I did the 200 hour TTC in April this year. I found out about Mira Yogashala on Facebook. There are so many places that offer courses in Rishikesh - but Mira Yohashala had 5/5 reviews and they were very helpful and reactive to questions. It is a but daunting to travel to India on one's own but Mira Yogashala dealt with everything including the airport pick up.
The staff and professors were amazing. It is a relatively recent school but this should not put anyone off. All of the professors were passionate about thier subjects and great teachers and very professional (classes always started on time - which are complaints one sees on evaluations about other schools).
The accomodation is great. Its like a little hotel with the yoga shala on the top floor. A new building in a quiet area of Upper Tapovan - a 15 minute walk to the bridge & the markets. This area of Upper Tapovan is a haven of peace as in the centre of Rishikesh it is noisy and very hot. There are lots of little stores in the neighborhood.
The rooms have ventilators, which was totally sufficent. I was there in April and outside temperatures were nearly 40°C but I did not need to use the ventilator at night - the bedrooms are cool. One of the best parts was the food ! The chef was amazing. There were 4 people working in the kitchen. Meals were delicious. Every day for practically 4 weeks we had different breakfasts - how amazing is that ! And the best part was the staff running the school. Romi, Vikas, Rohan & Glenda - I cannot thank them enough for their kindness. There were 8 students during my TTC from different countries and we became like a family. I consider them and Mira Yogashala as my "little yoga family" and we keep in touch still by Whatts App.
I'll be going back to do another course as soon as I can. :)

I did the 200YTT. Had a really great experience! Lesson were very professional & profound covering a lot of subjects. Food was delicious and fresh. And the vibe & atmosphere are wonderful family like also the jungle location is very unique. Would highly recommend!!

When I chose a yogashala for me, I was checking websites of different shalas in Rishikesh. I looked carefully at pictures of teachers. It was important for me - what are their faces. A look, a smile reflect the character of a person. And I wanted to be a student of real yogateachers - wise, experienced people with big heart.
I was right to come to Mira Yogashala. I had wonderful, great teachers: Vickas, Vimal, Deepak, Anuj, Katarzyna, Benkat, Glenda. Every one of them in their own way helped me to understand what is yoga. I derived invaluable knowledge. I'm greatful to each and every one of them for the light of the soul that they gave us.
I'm greatful to each stuff member from the cook to the Director for everything - for tasty indian meal, interesting excursions, perfect living conditions, cosy rooms, hot water, Wi-Fi, etc.
It was the amazing month. I found new friends from all corners of the world. I love them. I'm glad to be a part of Mira yogafamily. I believe we are together forever.
