A truly life changing experience. Thank you so much to Prateek, Acharya, the rest of our wonderful instructors, as well as the amazing guys in the kitchen (the food is the best, especially the poha, sago, and idli) for an amazing experience and learning opportunity.
I think choosing to come to India and particularly picking this program is one of the better decisions I’ve ever made in my life. With the small class sizes you really get individual attention, meet interesting and insightful people, and can explore and grow at your own pace—physically, mentally, and spiritually. From a physical standpoint I arrived at the program extremely inflexible and tight. Prateek did an incredible job of working with my limitations and pushing me just beyond what I thought I was capable of. I’m still not as flexible as I would like to be, but within a month I saw more progress than in the previous three years of practicing yoga.
I think the most important thing that I learned going forward was the practice of yoga nidra, which we got to do weekly. I had heard of it before starting the program but never tried it. I don’t think that most schools do it much, if at all in their programs, so that is a special part of Jeevmoksha.
The entire month flew by and I left wishing I could stay a little longer to gain more insight. I can’t recommend this ashram enough.
Among all the Ashram to choose from in Rishikesh I feel so lucky I picked Jeevmoksha Yoga Gurukul.
This Ashram is not a yogi factory. The courses are limited to a small group of students which means a more personalized attention from the teachers.
Located away from the busy streets but still walking distance to restaurants and shops. Nestled up on the hill and surrounded by nature, the place is perfect to focus fully on the course.
All the classes were very good. You feel that beyond the TTC programme there is a real will from the teachers to transmit and share not only their knowledge, but also values and experiences on and off the mat.
The schedule is very well organized between physical and theoretical classes, with enough free time for self practice, get some rest or take cooking classes.
This Ashram has been running for few years and it has seen a lot of students but still they manage to make it feel like a unique and special experience.
Also wanted to mention the cooks who do an amazing job to put healthy and tasty food on the table every day!
Thank you to the Jeevmoksha family
